Stage 1 of the Incubation Programme

🚀 Futura Cinema #4 gets off to a successful start in Strasbourg! 🚀

The fourth cohort of the Futura Cinema Incubation Programme gathered from 1 to 3 October in Strasbourg, hosted by the Strasbourg European Fantastic Film Festival (FEFFS): an ideal setting to launch a new year of exchanges, creativity and innovation.

🙏 This first stage would not have been possible without the support of Europe Creative, the CNC, the City and Eurometropolis of Strasbourg, the FEFFS, all our partners and the host venues: the Digital Village, Kooma, Le Cosmos cinema, the Cinémas Star and the Aedaen Brasserie.

👉 This first stage brought together nearly 40 participants from all over Europe for three days of ideation and collaborative work on innovation in cinemas.

💡 On the agenda: introduction of the projects and co-creators; group ideation workshops on audience development, impact, immersiveness and the cross-sectoral aspect of the projects; reflection on the desirability of the projects using a first draft of the Business Model Canvas; collective brainstorming sessions and discussions with the Steering Committee, which guided project owners in defining their future strategies and guidelines; preparation of a 180-second pitch; and finally, co-construction of an action plan for the coming weeks and months.

🗣️ On the last day of the stage, the focus was on the projects' action plans and the presentation of their work, providing an opportunity for the teams to share their progress and receive feedback in preparation for the next stage.

🍿 Over the coming year, participants will combine their skills to develop innovative tools, formats and devices, from a technological, social and environmental perspective, in order to explore new ways of creating, distributing and experiencing cinema.
