ALUMNI
Cohort #1 (2021)
From video games in cinemas to cinema podcasts, from accessibility for disabled spectators to links with social workers and educators, find out more about the 7 projects supported by the incubator below.
Most of these projects were launched in 2022, and some are already proving highly successful.
THE 2021 PROJECTS
Le Festival Imperceptibles

- Futura Cinema Jury prize and professionals' favourites -
The Imperceptibles Festival is based on secret sessions: to join this community and take part in the event, spectators have to find the hideouts by following an urban route in augmented reality. This gives access to the programme, the participating cinemas and the ticket office for the secret evenings.
The first edition of the Festival was launched in May 2022, in Paris and Budapest. The project received support from the CNC under the 15-25 call for projects.
The team consists of Robin Pierre (graphic designer) and Alix Ménard (Etoile Cinémas).
Playful

- 2nd Jury Prize -
What if cinemas could benefit from programming video games? For gamers looking for a place to meet up, or to introduce new audiences to this increasingly popular medium, cinemas are the perfect place for a collective experience around video games. But what formats should be used? And with which games? The Playful team has come up with some solutions to help viewers get to grips with the game, and is preparing a tour of the region to enhance what cinemas can offer their audiences.
Since taking part in the Futur@Cinéma Challenge, Playful has been a huge success! The project received support from the CNC under the 15-25 call for projects. Numerous cinemas have asked the association to help them experiment with video games for their audiences.
The team is made up of Alexandre Suzanne, Olivier Gouttenoire (GRAC network of cinema mediators) and Nicolás Roman Borré (Cinéma le Gyptis in Marseille).
Passerelle Ciné

- Honourable mention -
The Passerelle project is an internet platform that aims to make arthouse films accessible, raise awareness and encourage people to discover them in priority neighbourhoods by drawing on the networks of social workers and educators. The platform is intended to become national, collaborative, simple and intuitive, putting distributors, social structures and cinema operators in touch with each other and bringing audiences into contact with cinematographic works in just a few clicks. This platform will help distributors to reach out to more remote audiences, thanks to the tools that have been put in place.
The Passerelle project has received support from Europa Cinemas' Collaborate to Innovate scheme and is moving ahead at full speed: the website is almost ready! The team is currently meeting its future partners and developing its communication tools.
The team is made up of Tarik Roukba and Jérémie Monmarché (Cinémas Studio de Tours and association Passerelle Ciné), Manon Desseauve (Cinéma les 7 Batignolles), Vincent Tessier (CinéVR), Pierre-Emmanuel Le Goff and Guilhem Olive (La Vingt-Cinquième Heure).
INCLUSIV

- Project acclaimed by professionals-
INCLUSIV is a collaborative website and application, fed by a committed community of people with and without disabilities, which centralises and enriches information on the accessibility of cinemas, films and screenings, and encourages exchanges between audiences. The aim of this day-to-day tool is to support all cinema-goers before, during and after the screening by tracking their viewing experience. INCLUSIVe not only supports the spectator, but also creates a caring community with and around the spectator, based on mutual support and exchange. INCLUSIVe aims to encourage and create links between all audiences.
Since joining Futur@Cinéma, the team has set up the EN PENTE DOUCE association, which runs the Inclusiv project. It is currently developing activities to raise awareness of accessibility to the cinema, and in 2023 will launch the development of the INCLUSIV application and website. Finally, the association is preparing accessibility training courses for professionals and organising special events.
Inclusiv is now on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and Linkedin to keep up with cinema and disability news - you can also follow its pro newsletter.
The team is made up of Lena Nilly (Dulac Cinémas) and Mélissa Charles (Blue Mad Monkey), Victor Courgeon (Cinéma le Méliès de Montreuil) and Manon Kerjean (La Vingt-Cinquième Heure), with the help of Marie Diagne (Le cinéma parle).
Podcast and Cinéma - Listening in on cinemas

Between the creation of a residency for sound artists and the production of original podcasts, this project, led by Narrason, aims to develop a strong editorial identity for cinemas in order to establish their uniqueness with current and future audiences.
The project has received support from Europa Cinémas through the Collaborate to Innovate scheme. It has set up residencies for sound artists in three cinemas: the Café des images in Hérouville-Saint-Clair, the Zola in Villeurbanne and the TNB in Rennes.
Narrason also produces the podcast Nouvelles séances, which profiles the people who make cinema happen from the inside.
During the Challenge, the team was made up of Nolwenn Thivault and Aurélie Brousse (Narrason), Elise Mignot (Le Café des images), Charline Tabaraud (Cinémas Star), Amandine Larue and Alix Ménard (Labo des Cinémas Indépendants Parisiens).
Cinéfil de l’eau

Cinéfil de l'eau is a floating cinema project, ecologically responsible in both its construction and operation.
The team is made up of Agathe Perret (architect), Pierre-Jean Bouillerce (Sceni Qua Non), Jordan Cohen (22h22), Sylvia Da Rocha and Alban Hugonnet.
Movie Sound Control

An inclusive smartphone service offering a high-quality, accessible and immersive experience, with personalised sound and access to audio description and multiple languages.
The team consists of Stéphane Dufossé (Augmented Acoustics), Marie-Claire Thoirey, François Jezequel and Bruno Bouvier (Orange Group CSR Department).
