Project: Imperceptibles
interviewed on 08/02/2024
Can you introduce yourself in a few words?
Robin Pierre, I'm a graphic designer now working in cinema communications (festivals and cinemas).
What prompted you to take part in the Futura Cinema incubation programme?
What motivated us to apply to Futura Cinema with Alix (Ménard) was the opportunity to test our idea with professionals. To find help in structuring the project: defining a legal framework, finding ways of developing a business model and test opportunities.
Did you have a project when you joined the programme? If so, how did the programme contribute to its development?
The regular stages during the year enabled us first of all to refine the concept and learn how to pitch it in a concise way. Then to make contact with our future users and contacts (distributors, festival programmers, exhibitors, accountants, lawyers, etc.). And finally, to build bridges between the various participating projects.
Do you have a highlight to share from your incubator adventure?
The presentation of the project at the Sommet des Arcs was a highlight for Imperceptibles. As well as the superb setting of Les Arcs, it gave us the opportunity to get feedback from a number of professionals, some of whom were with us during the first edition.
Today, has the project developed during the incubation year seen the light of day? What has it become?
Imperceptibles went through two editions thanks to the support of the CNC and Europa Cinemas, first in Paris and Budapest simultaneously, then in various French cities. We were able to get a lot of feedback from users on the urban itinerary and the evenings, and also to understand what changes needed to be made. Today, we're developing Imperceptibles secret evenings with festivals and exhibitors, always with themes and performances targeted at the 15-25 age group.
