Stage 3 of the Incubation Programme

🚀 A look back at the third stage of the Incubation Programme in Copenhagen, which was full of discussions and thoughtful reflection!

For its third stage, the Incubation Programme was in Copenhagen from 16 to 18 March 2026, as part of CPH:DOX (Copenhagen International Documentary Film Festival), an international event bringing together over 150,000 professionals from the documentary film, visual arts, journalism, and science sectors around a programme of around 200 films.

🙏 We would like to extend our warmest thanks to Creative Europe, in particular the Creative Europe Desk Denmark, the Danish Film Institute, the Centre national du cinéma et de l'image animée (CNC), EIT Culture & Creativity, Publikum, the Institut français, the CPH:DOX teams, our partners, and the venues that hosted us throughout these three days, without whom this event would not have been possible.

This event brought together around forty-five participants from across Europe for three days of collaboration.

💡 On the agenda:

• An overview of the film industry, distribution and exhibition in Denmark (Lone Garde, Kim Foss, Niels Alberg)
• Exploring funding opportunities in Europe (Laetitia Facon, Lone Garde, Kati Uusi-Rauva)
• Discussions with mentors and experts on the legal structures of the projects and their funding models (Jérémy Zelnik, Clara Benyamin)
• Pitch sessions on project business models followed by a Q&A with the Steering Committee

🇩🇰 As well as enjoying all that the festival had to offer, our participants also had the opportunity to learn more about the Danish film ecosystem during a visit to the Grand Teatret, and a bike tour of Copenhagen's cinemas, which took them to the Park Bio, Empire Bio and Dagmar Teatret.
