Stage 2 of the Experimentation Network

🚀 Some news from the second event of the Experimentation Network in Brusels!
Futura Cinema was in Brussels from 10 to 12 June, as a satellite event of the New European Bauhaus Festival.
🙏 We would like to extend our deepest thanks to pali pali for hosting this stage at the Grand Hospice, without whom this event would not have been possible. We would also like to thank our partners at EIT Culture and Creativity, the Centre du Cinéma et de l'Audiovisuel de la Fédération Wallonie-Bruxelles, Cineville, Wallimage, Owiwi and Agence So for their participation in this stage.
👉 This event brought around twenty participants, including experimentation venues and project developers, from across Europe for three days of cooperation and exchanges.

💡 On the agenda:
- An overview of the film industry, distribution and exhibition in Belgium (Edouard Meier, Laura Nanchino, Justine Gustin, Thibault Quirynen)
- Exploring EIT Culture and Creativity funding opportunities (Susannah Montgomery)
- Pitches and discussions with mentors and experts on refining an experimentation protocol, pitching a project and creating a communication plan (Athena Ntova, Anastasija Efremovska, Odile Malevé, Soraya Kavoussian)
- Pitch session on project tests ABC, followed by a Q&A
In addition, venues participating in the Immersive Cinemas project (Collaborate to Innovate) worked on the next stages of the initiative. Cinemas that are part of the Radiobox Cinema project, also winner of Collaborate to Innovate grant, gathered for a training session on how to use this innovative radio tool, and exchange ideas on how to incorporate it into their mediation practices, thanks to the expertise of Making Waves.
🇧🇪 Finally, our participants had the opportunity to discover the variety of the Belgian film ecosystem during a tour of Brussels' cinemas which took them to Cinema Galeries, Cinema Palace and BOZAR.
