Image Before Motion

Image Before Motion
IMAGE BEFORE MOTION brings together two works, two perspectives, two ways of portraying the world: those of a photographer and a filmmaker.
On the big screen, a photographic work unfolds in dialogue with a film. Presented at the start of the screening, it resonates with it. In this way, the works respond to one another and shed light on each other.
In this space between photography and cinema, a different experience of images and narratives can emerge: one that is free, sensitive and personal, left to the interpretation of each viewer. IMAGE BEFORE MOTION offers photographers a powerful context in which to present their work: that of the cinema screen. And it gives the film an amplified impact.
