Encourage the emergence of solid, ambitious and structuring projects aimed at winning back cinema-going audiences

Following a call for applications, some forty professionals are invited to take part in 5 festival stages throughout the year. Coming from a wide range of backgrounds and with complementary skills, the participants meet and form teams to develop innovative projects.

The mentors on our Steering Committee work alongside them, as do guest speakers from time to time.

Futura Cinema welcomes all good ideas.

For the 2024 edition, the focus is on the transfer of innovation and cooperation between the cinema and other cultural sectors : how can innovations developed for other sectors, for museums, the music industry, publishing, education, tourism or transport (non-exhaustive list), inspire those involved in film distribution?

 

The selection committee paid particular attention to projects that made use of cutting edge technology, to encourage the film industry to be more open to the use of virtual worlds or artificial intelligence.
